The Oklahoma Organ Sharing Network offers many services to the public and professional
community at large. Click on the button at left for a more detailed description and
instructions on how to take advantage of these offerings.
- Professionals
- OOSN provides a variety of educational opportunities designed to the specific needs of
the professional group or individual requesting this service. In-service education can be
provided in your facility by request. Workshops for designated requestors are held
periodically during the year at strategic locations throughout the state. Hospital
donation and referral statistics and assistance with medical record review are available
to assist hospitals in monitoring their progress and preparing for Joint Commission.
- Public
- OOSN believes that public education is key to addressing the donor shortage. We offer
free literature and donor cards to the public. We are available to speak to local schools,
civic groups, businesses and others in our efforts to promote organ and tissue
donation in the community and the state. It may be possible to have a display at your
community health fair providing brochures, newsletters and donor cards.
- Volunteer
- OOSN maintains a volunteer database. This consists of interested people who help OOSN
promote donor awareness by the giving of their time and energy at various tasks.
